September 23, 2024 - Student leaders from the Sisters of Mary Schools-Girlstown, Inc. had the wonderful opportunity to join the Students' Congress organized by the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines - Cebu Secondary Schools Principals Association (CEAP-CeSSPA). The event was held at the Pope Francis Hall of Sacred Heart School - Ateneo de Cebu and focused on the theme:“Synodality & Mission: An Empowered Youth for the Common Good.”

The goal of the congress was to encourage young leaders to grow in leadership, service to others and be the voice of the community. It was a chance for students from different Catholic schools across Cebu to learn how to become better leaders and caring members of society.

The event was led by Mrs. Edelwisa Quiapo, Chair of the CEAP-CeSSPA Student Development Committee. One of the most inspiring moments came from Bro. Miguel Karlo Abadinez of Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan, who shared a powerful message. He encouraged the students to use their voices to speak up for others, especially those in need, and to become active agents of positive change in their communities.

The event ended with a meaningful Holy Mass, reminding everyone to stay rooted in faith as they lead and serve.
