As a big step forward in helping underprivileged children in Tanzania, a new dormitory and gymnasium have opened up for boys, giving them a safe place to live and for their holistic growth. On March 25, 2025, His Grace, Archbishop Beatus Kinyaiya, OFM Cap, Bishop of Dodoma, presided over the inauguration ceremony of the gymnasium and four-story dormitory building. Joining us on this special occasion were some of the fundraising officers from Europe, friends from the USA, alumni from Korea, Fr. Paul Bae—Superior General of the Brothers of Christ—members of the Board of Trustees, and our 369 boys whom we nurture and support.
Following the solemnity of the Holy Mass and the Inauguration Ceremony, the atmosphere was filled with joy and celebration as our boys, along with a selected girls from the Girlstown community, took the stage to perform for our benefactors, friends, and guests. They brought the stage to life with their energy and passion, embodying the spirit of gratitude and celebration through their heartfelt singing and dancing.
The program concluded with a powerful final performance, bringing all our boys together in song and dance. Their heartfelt performance of the song Yesterday’s Dream beautifully captured their aspirations and the futures that they are striving for. They then performed “Aloysians, Fully Alive,” a song that holds profound significance for their identity as sons of Fr. Al. It was a moving and unforgettable way to end the ceremony, leaving everyone inspired by their energy and their steadfast spirit.
