Sisters of Mary School–Girlstown, Inc. (SMSGI) warmly welcomed esteemed representatives from the Ministry of Education of Japan in a significant visit aimed at strengthening the partnership between the school and Japan’s educational authorities.
The event began with a tour of the SMSGI campus, where the Japanese delegates experienced firsthand the nurturing environment that supports the academic growth and holistic development of the students. The campus visit gave the guests a glimpse into the vibrant community and the school’s commitment to forming well-rounded learners.
Following the tour, the program commenced with captivating student performances that showcased the remarkable talents and creativity of the Girlstown community. Adding to the celebration, representatives from the Mifune Town Office- Japan presented before the audience, sharing glimpses of their culture and traditions to bring joy and broaden the students’ appreciation of Japanese heritage. A highlight of the visit was the donation of a collection of Japanese comic books (manga), intended to inspire students to explore and learn the Japanese language and culture through engaging materials.
