The Sisters of Mary School– Adlas, Inc. officially opened Intramurals 2025 on July 12, 2025, at the school gymnasium with the theme “ Unleashing the Aloysian Hero Within: Strength in Service, Power in Virtue.” The much-anticipated event marked the beginning of a week of spirited competitions, showcasing not only athletic skill but also teamwork, discipline, and camaraderie among students.

The program began with a lively parade of players from the six competing teams— Courage, Responsibility, Humility, Justice, Prudence, and Honesty. Each team proudly marched into the gymnasium, bowing in unison before the stage in a display of unity and sportsmanship. This was followed by the entrance of colors, the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, and an opening prayer led by selected Grade 7 students.

In his opening remarks, Intramurals Chairman Mr. Aldoune Añ ar expressed excitement for the week-long games and encouraged everyone to embody fairness and camaraderie in competition. The banner-raising ceremony then highlighted each team’ s identity, with representatives presenting their creatively designed banners. Cheers echoed throughout the gym during the much-awaited Yell/Jingle Competition, as teams showcased their creativity, energy, and school spirit.

The event’ s highlight came when Sr. Imelda Insalada, SM, School Principal, delivered an inspiring message and officially declared the opening of Intramurals 2025. This was followed by the symbolic lighting of the torch, carried out by selected athletes who had represented the school in external competitions. A Grade 11 national-level athlete then led the Oath of Sportsmanship, reminding all players of the importance of integrity and respect in sports.

The ceremony concluded with a prayer, after which the games officially commenced. With vibrant energy and Aloysian pride, the Opening Program set the tone for a week of healthy competition, unity, and celebration of both skill and virtue.
