Every August, the nation celebrates Buwan ng Wika (National Language Month), and this year, the Filipino Department of the school organized a series of activities and competitions for both students and teachers. With the theme “Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa” (Cultivating Filipino and Native Languages: Historic in the Unity of the Nation), the celebration aimed to deepen appreciation for the Filipino language and native dialects as vital instruments of unity and cultural identity.
This annual observance is in accordance with Proclamation No. 1041 signed by former President Fidel V. Ramos, which declares August 1–31 as National Language Month. Through this celebration, the school community is reminded of its duty to pass on the love and respect for our language and literature to the next generation.
The culminating program was held on August 30, 2025, where winners of the various competitions showcased their talents through performances and were formally recognized and awarded. The event became a meaningful expression of cultural pride and unity, highlighting the richness of the Filipino language and heritage.
The activity aimed to strengthen the value of the Filipino language as a symbol of national identity and to encourage students and teachers to actively preserve and promote the richness of Filipino literature and native dialects.
