On September 8, 2001, the Sisters of Mary established the Girlstown in Santa Maria, Brazil, aimed at supporting vulnerable children. This initiative was soon followed by the opening of the Maria Medical Clinic on March 13, 2002, providing essential healthcare services to the community.
Together, the Brasília Girlstown and Day Care Center, along with the São Paulo Elementary and Day Care Center, currently care for 1,377 students, reflecting the Sisters' dedication to enhancing education and welfare for disadvantaged communities in Brazil.
