On May 2, 2025, the Sisters of Mary School–Adlas, Inc. successfully held its Moving-Up and Recognition Day at the school gymnasium, celebrating the accomplishments of Grade 10 completers and honoring the academic excellence of students from other grade levels.
The Moving-Up Ceremony was held in the morning, beginning at 9:30 AM with the Processional March and Entrance of Colors, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and a solemn Doxology. Ms. Nelcy C. Nieves, Assistant School Principal, presented the Grade 10 completers, who were officially confirmed by Sr. Imelda B. Insalada, SM, School Principal. Certificates were awarded by Sr. Laresa N. Morasa, SM, Local Superior, assisted by Sr. Insalada. Academic and special awards were also conferred, recognizing 109 With Honors awardees and 46 special awardees. A message of gratitude was delivered by Johnlie S. De Pedro, Grade 10 representative and With Honors awardee. The highlight of the ceremony was the inspiring keynote address delivered by Asst. Prof. Teodoro C. Dela Peña, MPES, from the University of Santo Tomas. The morning event concluded with a Closing Prayer, Exit of Colors, and a photo opportunity with presenters and awardees.
In the afternoon, the Recognition Day opened with the Entrance of Awardees and Colors, followed by the National Anthem and Doxology. Sr. Imelda B. Insalada, SM, gave the Opening Remarks, encouraging students to continue striving for excellence. Awards for Best in Religion and Most Outstanding Club Member were first presented, followed by an intermission number from SMS-PACE. The Presentation of Academic Awards then recognized top-performing students across grade levels. Grade 7 had 28 With Honors and 28 special awardees; Grade 8 had 50 With Honors and 27 special awardees; while Grade 9 had 61 With Honors, 2 With High Honors, and 34 special awardees. Joshua P. Ciudadano, Grade 9 Top 1 and With High Honors, delivered a heartfelt Message from the Awardees. The celebration concluded with Closing Remarks, marking a memorable day of gratitude and achievement.
The twin events highlighted the dedication, faith, and perseverance of SMS students, inspiring the entire school community to continue pursuing growth in character, faith, and academic excellence.
