Adlas, Silang, Cavite – February 24, 2025 — In a proactive step toward promoting health and safety on campus, Sisters of Mary School–Adlas, Inc. conducted a comprehensive Red Cross First Aid Training at the school gymnasium. This important initiative brought together class mayors and vice mayors, family helping brothers and coordinators, MAPEH teachers, and sisters, highlighting a unified effort to enhance emergency preparedness across the school community.

The training was facilitated by trained professionals from the Silang Chapter of the Philippine Red Cross and focused on Basic and Emergency First Aid Training, including BLS-CPR with AED. Participants were introduced to vital life-saving techniques such as basic wound care, proper bandaging, response to choking, and the appropriate handling of fractures and burns.

One of the most impactful parts of the training was the hands-on practice session, where attendees had the opportunity to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and learn the correct use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). These practical exercises reinforced the theoretical knowledge shared during the session and helped build the participants’ confidence in handling real-life emergencies.

The training aimed to equip student leaders and faculty with fundamental first aid skills, enhance the school’s overall readiness in dealing with medical emergencies, promote a culture of safety and awareness, and foster confidence in providing immediate and effective care during accidents or health-related incidents.

The school extends its sincere gratitude to the Silang Red Cross team for their expertise and dedication, and to all participants for their enthusiastic engagement.
