March 6, 2026 — Grade 11 students (35th batch) of SMBI successfully conducted their culminating activity through a symposium for their subject Pag-aaral ng Lipunan at Kasaysayang Pilipino on March 6, 2026.
The students managed the entire program both on and off stage under the guidance of their subject teachers, Sir Edson Vicente and Ms. Justine Mae Peril.
The event carried the theme “Kultura, Kasaysayan, at Globalisasyon: Papel ng mga Pilipino at Katutubo sa Mundo,” where the guest speakers delivered factual and engaging discussions.
One of the guest speakers, Sir Emmanuel Franco-Calairo, KCGR, gave a meaningful talk about Dr. Jose Rizal and how his ideals and contributions remain relevant up to this day.
Meanwhile, Ms. Maureen Madiano, LPT, focused on her experiences as a member of an indigenous group and how their community is adapting to become part of globalization.
Through the insights shared by the speakers and the active participation of the students, the event became a meaningful learning experience that highlighted the importance of preserving heritage while adapting to modern changes.
