The Sisters of Mary School-Boystown, Inc. welcomed visitors and benefactors from Davao this January 28.
“You are not just visitors in our school—you are partners in our mission” Skylark Fjord Dequito, an emcee of the event, greeted as the benefactors were escorted by the Drum and Lyre to the gym as cheers and clapping filled the entire venue.
The students presented a series of presentations starting from the SMS Handbell Ringers, followed by the Aloysians Dance Troupe (ADT), SMS Rondalla, Grade 8 Cultural Dancers.
Presenters coming from The Sisters of Mary School-Girlstown in Talisay also presented their number.
After, they were followed by the Aloysians Fully Alive Dancers and the Orchestra Musical Ensemble.
Subsequently, all performers danced to the song “I’m Glad You Came.”
After the presentations, one of the visitors shared a short message.
“Way kasudlan akong kasing-kasing sa pag welcome niyo. God is so good to you, and I want to cry because you are not forsaken… Grabe pag welcome. Di nako ma-imagine,” she said.
Succeedingly, the audiences also gave their dance presentations entitled “I Just Wanna Say Thank You” and “May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You.”
The program ended with a photo opportunity for the student with the visitors.
After the program, some of the visitors expressed their plans to make a similar institution to be built in Mindanao.
