MINGLANILLA, Cebu—The Aloysian Spikers reigned in the municipal meet volleyball competition as they defeated the Mary Help of Christian School (MHCS) with a remarkable 25-18 score in the first set and a 25-20 standing in the second set at Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy on Sunday, October 26, 2025. r

‘On way to victory’

On October 24, the Aloysian Spikers first faced the Montessori Academy of Southern Cebu, Inc. (MASCI), and with a swift blow, the team won the first set with a 21-15 standing, impaling them with their accurate spikes.

Following the first set, MASCI managed to dominate the game but fell short in the third set as the Aloysian Spikers secured the game by strengthening their attacks and defenses displaying unbeatable battle tactics, finishing the game with a 15-11 standing.

‘Biggest threat against the crown’

On October 25, the Aloysian Spikers encountered their biggest threat against the crown as they fought the monsters of St. Cecilia’s College.

Beaten on the first set, the Aloysian Spikers stood tall, battering the opponent with the scores of 21-16 and 15-9, respectively, and thus eliminating the threat.

Immersing themselves again in battle, Aloysian Spikers went head-to-head and buried the Lipata National High School (LNHS) with a score of 21-18 on the first set and 21-14 on the second set.

Now, the Aloysian Spikers are currently preparing for their provincial meet which will be held in Balamban, Cebu.
