Four young Mathletes from Sisters of Mary School–Girlstown, Inc. are making waves in Mathematics after advancing to the Final Round of the Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad (PHIMO) 2025. The students—Kizziah Meryl Albiso (Secondary 1), Mara Juadiong (Secondary 2), Hyazinth Nicole Blancada (Secondary 3), and Mariane Joy Marie Abordo (Junior Secondary)—earned bronze medals during the PHIMO Heat Round held online last April 6, 2025.
These mathletes were guided by Miss Tatheana Abenoja, Miss Ivy Dealagdon, Mr. Glendon Macapayad, and Mr. Chris Lou Ibonalo. Together, they trained and pushed the students to think critically, solve creatively, and compete confidently.
The journey continues, as these four outstanding students now prepare for the PHIMO Final Round, which will take place on September 19–22, 2025, in Cebu City. With heads held high and pencils ready, they will represent SMSGI and inspire other aspiring learners to pursue excellence with courage and determination.
Congratulations to our mathletes and coaches!
