MINGLANILLA, Cebu—Sisters of Mary School-Boystown 3x3 players of Axcel Gerong, Kenneth Baluran, Andrie Quilab, and Jushua Lumawag conquered the top after beating the Abellana Chief’s A with a 21-12 standing on August 30-31, 2025.  

Scoring 12 points during the first five minutes, the team pulled-up back-to-back lay-ups and accurate passing “Gi-apply namo unsay among na-praktisan nga system, bisag duha ra ka simana,” shared Gerong.   

[ We applied the system that we have practiced even just for two weeks of practice.]  

Kenneth Baluran then attacked like a lion chasing its prey as he exhibited his shooting prowess making the standing 14-6.  

Witt 11 seconds left, the SMS team was on guard as they scored 19 points against the 12 points of the opposing team, “Wa gihapon mi nag-kumpyansa kay daghan pang mahitabo ana nga time,” he expressed.     

[We're still not confident because there's still a lot to happen at that time.] 

As the Abellana Chief’s A committed a technical foul, SMS team then had a chance to throw two free throws executed by Baluran and thus finishing the game, “Sa among daog nga nakuha kay makahunahuna mi sa kakapoy sa among training kada adlaw plus ang ka heptic sa schedule,” shared Axcel Gerong. 

[With our victory, we can think about the fatigue of our training every day plus the hectic schedule.]
