October 9, 2024-Congratulations to the Sisters of Mary School Boystown Inc. for being nominated as one of the schools in Region 7 whose school practices meet the standards of 𝐎𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐝 – 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦.

This initiative reinforced the Universal Health Care Act’s mandate to designate all DepEd schools as healthy settings, underscoring their vital role in promoting healthy behaviors. Representatives from DOH and DepEd Region 7 visited the school last August 21 to evaluate the requirements submitted by the school and to check if the school is really applying those practices.

Then on August 31, DOH 7 Center for Health Development held the Awarding Ceremony of the Regional Healthy Learning Institutions Awards for Basic Education Institutions at the Summit Galleria Hotel in Cebu City.
