Talisay | Erfolge der Schüler

Student-athletes from Sisters of Mary School–Girlstown, Inc. made an unforgettable mark at the Talisay City Division Athletic Association Meet 2025, held from January 22 to 24, 2025. With remarkable performances across a wide range of sporting events, the school proudly brought home several medals and helped District 1 emerge as the overall champion.

On the courts, SMSGI athletes displayed both strength and strategy. The Basketball 5x5 team secured the gold medal, defeating Lagtang National High School in a thrilling match. The Basketball 3x3 team followed with a solid bronze finish. In volleyball, the team dominated the competition and claimed another gold, triumphing over Pooc National High School.

In individual sports, the school continued to shine. Danelle Marie Guingue earned the championship title in Table Tennis Singles B, outplaying her opponent from Lawaan NHS.

The futsal team battled fiercely and took home silver after an intense match with Talisay City NHS. The chess and badminton (doubles) each secured a bronze medal, adding to the school’s growing tally.

SMS-Girlstown also showcased its depth in physical strength and endurance through its dominance in athletics, arnis, and swimming—securing multiple gold medals in each category. These victories played a vital role in lifting Cluster 1 to the top, earning the coveted title of overall champion.

The school community celebrates these victories together with all the student-athletes and coaches who represented the school with excellence, discipline, and sportsmanship. 

Gold medalists will represent the Talisay City Division in the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVRAA) Meet in Bayawan, Negros Oriental on March 10–17, 2025.
