The Cebu Provincial Sports and Cultural Meet 2026 proved to be a successful campaign for Sisters of Mary School-Boystown, Minglanilla campus Arnis team, as its athletes delivered an impressive medal haul across multiple weight categories.

Leading the charge was Alchier Villondo, who captured the gold medal in the Bantamweight division, displaying precision, speed, and mastery of technique, Villondo dominated his matches to secure the top podium finish.

Adding to the team’s success, Niño Butlig earned a silver medal in the Featherweight category, while Rowell Llacuna Jr. also clinched silver in the Half Lightweight division. Both athletes showcased resilience and determination, battling through tough competition to secure their podium spots.

This achievement would not be possible without the support of their coach Mr. Steven Prits Calumba.

The team’s outstanding performance highlights Minglanilla’s growing strength in arnis, with their achievements reflecting discipline, dedication, and a deep commitment to excellence in the sport.
