October 9, 2024-Congratulations to the Sisters of Mary School Boystown Inc. for being nominated as one of the schools in Region 7 whose school practices meet the standards of 𝐎𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐝 – 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦.

This initiative reinforced the Universal Health Care Act’s mandate to designate all DepEd schools as healthy settings, underscoring their vital role in promoting healthy behaviors. Representatives from DOH and DepEd Region 7 visited the school last August 21 to evaluate the requirements submitted by the school and to check if the school is really applying those practices.

Then on August 31, DOH 7 Center for Health Development held the Awarding Ceremony of the Regional Healthy Learning Institutions Awards for Basic Education Institutions at the Summit Galleria Hotel in Cebu City. The Sisters of Mary School Boystown received certificates for being recognized for having the Satisfactory Rating; 𝑩𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑨𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑷𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒓 6 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝑴𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑺𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒇𝒇 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝑪𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒄 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰𝒏𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒚; and another 𝑩𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑨𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑷𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒓 2 𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒉𝒚𝒔𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝑬𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝑬𝒏𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒅 𝑭𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔.
